| AllRite.. haha.. Back.. After like 87486486468767 daes.... alot of things happened la.. but i will like erm cut short.... 18th band performance at paragon. played like erm.. haha.. liddat.. tiring.. cab down to cc and back to paragon.. haha.. fun la.. alot sae nice .. so liddat lor.. haha.. after tat me, swee teng and selene go out to eat at mcdonalds. den we went out.. erm den realised tat we catched the last train to yishun.. ahaha.. 20th.. band.. as usual.. here and dere.. mistakes by the band.. scolding from Yew Tuck.. who came back. bla bla bla bla.. erm.. den chalet till 22nd.. it rox la.. haha.. sumting happened tat time.. whoopz.. haha.. made alot of SKband frens.. yarh... ate alot of free food since it was a free invitation for the chalet.. ghost stories.. swimming.. emo-ing.. sad la.. alot of things.. 23rd.. was walking along orchard den got this guy approached me... said tat asked me to work as a model.. wahaha.. idiot sia.. i tink he cork eye or sumting..weeeee.. yarh... Narnia Looks Nice.... 24th.. went to andrew's house for christmas party... den alot of people la.. talked about some bitch in the band.. den like tat.. Sean was late as usual.. damn late... me and jef go eat at kfc first. den meet edward dey all... help edward find his concert attire.. yarh.. cannot fit... alot of things la.. at andrews house.. was fun la.. bitching about all the way... making stupid remarks.. den andrew joined in.. haha.. he's a pampered kid i tink ... haha.! had a long long long discussion with mr lim.. yarh... talked about the band.. i let everything out inside me... i shall start screaming this next band practice... yarh... we went back late. accompanied jef to tanah merah.. took train to tampines and like erm.. bus down back to yishun.. long dae.. 25th.. haha.. | Hmm.. Thinking back all the memories.. Flashbacks.. Been Thinking all the things happening like politics not only in aiband. but others as well. it make me think about how important a member is in making the band a better one. hmmm... I recall. In 2001. Yup. the first cca intended to join is scouts. but somehow or rather. this cca makes me realise how fun it is to learn and produce good music at the same time. but at tat moment i didnt noe how good dey were till i really understand music. hmm. Year 2001. My seniors all expected me to join. So i did in the end joined the band. I still remember in january till up to march. i was under Ms Sia/Ms Cheah. Not the ms Sia now. she LoOk younger den Miss Sia. I was picking up trumpet. only for two weeks and in the end tooK up saxoPHone with my class mate. Yup. and the band at that year. Facing it's First Indoor Syf. I dunnoe wat's Syf at tat moment though. Watever they played. I thought it was good. hmm.. the band was under the big boss of bandworld. Mr Ong. hmm. he wasnt tat strict at that time. but somehow after much thought. i realise tat aiband at tat moment will not be able to achieve a medal so, he asked the Springfield member. Kartik Alan. *who was a principal piccoloist in SwSYoutH*. to conduct the band for syf. well. What they played was Lincoln Celebration Overture by David Shaffer. I'd listen to the original song and it's very soothing though. but of course. they got COP for Syf. The band was popular for Outdoor. Since 1970. been having one of the top bands in singapore. Achieving Grade 1 in marching and playying. So. It was good for them. Hmm. Go West.. arrrrhh.. was their signature piece. I've fallen in love with it. It's nice. Do ask me if u wanna listen. But ever since the band change to a Concert band. It all changed. Life of everyone in the band change. The new band instructor came. Mr Toh Yang Yang. My very first trusted Conductor and Instructor. I owe alot to him though. Seriously. He's the one who gave me the light in giving music a chance to be develop in me. Mr Toh did alot bringing up Us. From a COP band to a well, not so Silver band in 2003. A big effort by not only mr toh. but us as well. We were not expecting much for 2003's syf. Only a bronze. but got a silver medal instead. Was Proud of it. But to achieve that medal is tough. Hardwork. Determination. Commitment. Is what matters. My most favourite seniors graduated in 2001. after the Band Outing at East Coast Park which my Platoon *the Alphas* sec ones. Won the contest. in which have to come up with a performance for that day. Yup. Hardwork. In the end. One in a Million was our song and all were *choreograph* by me and my platoon commander Azzura. Yup. It was hard work allright. Anyways. The band faces many tough challenges and obstacles along the way. Yup. I was in the saxophone section. Playing Majestia. that was my last piece for tat instrument. well. Coz Mr Toh transferred me to Percussion maybe coz he tinks that i got home in Percussion or simply because i suck at saxophone. Lol~! anyways. all the pieces tried out by him. For our choice piece in 2003. was tough. but he ended up letting us play a graded 2.5 for syf `03 which is The Light of Dawn. Yup. Easy Piece if u tell me. Hmm. Yup. Mr toh is the one who thought me everything in percussion. Not my seniors nor my section mates. yup. He's the one who let me experience every instruments for most pieces exception to the drumset. yup. Mallet percussion was what i fell in love with. Majestia, Prelude and Energico, The Light of Dawn, Acclamations. marches. fanfares. alot of pieces came in. Slowly, The band learned. Though at tat time it was hard. but yet. the band work just to get it's name raised. Year 2002. was the toughest Year. training and training for Syf. Mr toh did scold us almost everydae. French Horn. Percussion. clarinets. most of the section who got Suanned for it's set piece. Tales of the sea. The Sec one's came in. Big BaTch. I was their Sec one incharge. Wow. i just realised how silly i was with them. lol~! yup. i click alot with them though. the seniors everytime during recess or after school. all sat at one table and eat and talk non stop. it was definitely a happy moment. band time was a serious one. all was quiet. Mr toh had this method whereby if we do not have enough air, stand by the wall and blow a piece of paper and make sure to let the paper *stick* to the wall by just blowing it without touching it. It was a good method. yup. For air training. hmm. The band moved around the school for more like 384124109483409834094 times. yup. When the band room was under renovation. We were moved to the down to the Bicyle bay. It was kinda open. Yup. But good training for the air. Scolding. MOtivation talk. Tears. Nigel's batch took over us tat year. for Syf. they were the majors for that year. We had to use the storeroom which is damn small to store all our instruments. yup. Den most of us brought back home our instruments for practice. even Iman. Who brought home the snare drum.. to practice his rolling and stuffs and me bringing back the glockenspiel for my tales of the sea. even the tubist with their big tuba. Brought home. Just to sacrifice. Den practices. Band Camp. Full dae. Tiring. hmm. Den we were moved up to the Computer Lab 2.. for our own room. Big Damn Big. Syf was practiced dere.. We attend exchanges with Fajar, Chung Cheng Branch, Woodlands, Riverside, Woodgrove, Springfield, Gan Eng Seng. we were the last band there. according to standards. yup. we were. practiced hard. marching. Crying. all those tears. but nonetheless, members were not separated. None of us. Had a small concert with Chung Cheng high branch on the 7th July. Star wars and the light of dawn. Scary but yet. Opening Band. our First Concert. Experiences. Sars. Sars.Sars. Practices Cancelled. All were Worried. Syf Postponed to July 22, Tuesdae. which is our dae. Syf that dae. we were after Hua yi Band. Orchid Park didnt turn up for that dae due to Conductor have some session. Hmm.. Tuning Room.. All was scared. Even Juliet. Who transferred from trombone to percussion to help us. All were scared. Hua yi played well. Absalon i must say. We're then up the Victoria Concert Hall stage. There was nothing infront of us but total darkness. Bands were watching us. it was 2.30pm and we were uP. Played at our Peak as how We did. Played. den all cried after the Competition. We thought we couldnt make it. but i was assured by Mr toh that Bronze will not be a problem. I was happy. I told my 2003 sec ones. That we will get nothing but a bronze. Watch the rest of the bands. Persis by Monfort, Purple twillight by Maris Stella. Noah's Ark by Tanjon Katong Sec. Inferno by Shuqun. they were all good bands~! But when all gathered for the results. it's a pity that Mr Toh had to go off coz of Fjsb will have their syf the next dae. But I guess he knew what we will get. Aiband was separated during the results.. We we sitting at different places. Filling up almost every row. hmm.. when they announced Hua yi Band's result. they couldnt kept quiet and aiband was holding each others hand while Our Bm was praying for a COP. nigel had to shut him up. we're were holding each others hand very tight. i was praying bronze soo much. But i was stunned and screamed out of my life when they announced we've actually attained a SILVER. I got out and Cried my hearts out. Saw my cousin at Shuqun. he was playing the clarinet. Gold for them Was good. arh~!!! we got back to school singing and screaming in the bus. Hugging one another. We were soooo happy. yupz. Juliet called Mr toh and we all screamed Thank You Mr Toh!! Wootz. Memories. It made me realise how commited we were as a band and how lucky were we to have him as our conductor. Yup. I still do miss Mr Toh's teaching and I guess the band still owes him Till now.. arh.. Memories. But it seems the 2005 batch. Hmmm.. Politics. Politics. Attitude. I guess. Alot of people expecting the band to have nothing more than a BRONZE. or better. COP. yup. With People like YOU around. The band wouldnt work. Now, i realised why the seniors do not wish to return to the band. I wish i will not too... Memories. Thanks Mr Toh` |

| allright. So im here to blog once again. Hmm. Stressing Out lately. Seriously`!. I am like getting pissed of with everybody. dunnoe why. Simply Haiz. anyways. next week got SwSYouth performance. at 2pm at paragon. Till 3.30pm. hmm.. Those who wish to come. Pls do so. Thank you. yupz. Playing Mas Que Nada, Winter Sonata, Latin Pop Special, Japanese Graffiti VI , Oregon, Flashing Winds and Two other christmas songs. So, it's like erm Oregon and flashing winds will be our back up pieces. haha.. anyways. hmm.. Mr tan do not wish to bring along the timpani. haha.. So i sae anyting lor. So it's ok lah. I wanna play sumting else aso. I was thinking of getting my section those christmas hat. haha.. den we wear. hmm.. yupz. Kinda sad. Fauzi gonna receive a termination letter. I tink Zameer too. not sure though. yupz.. hmm need to plan out whose playing wat for the performance. yeah. My section finally got new member. Well, she's a flautist la. and she's from Mayflower~! another Mr tan band. hmm. but she told mr tan tat she wanted to be in percussion since she wanted a different variety of instruments. well. she was scared at first but not bad at playing mallets la. aiyah. all mallet. haha.. alll the gerls all play mallet. wa laoz. anyways. Yeah. She's Sec 4. Yup. Fun though but abit anti-social. It's ok. her first dae. ahaha.. We welcome you to our Hunny-St*rs ensemble Selene.~! Yupz. haha.
